Paper Bill Collectors?
 

Any paper collectors here?

I've traveled to Europe many times and I saved representations of most of the Eurozone paper bills before they converted. I have quite a collection by now. There are still a few that I'd like to get like Spain and Portugal -- went there only after conversion.

Any other collectors here? I have coins from all the countries, too, but I'm pretty proud of my mint bills.

There's only one bill that I want and I don't remember what country offered it or the exact denomination. It was issued by some eastern European communist block country about 20-something years ago as they were having a little problem with inflation. If I remember correctly, the denomination was somewhere around 500,000,000 whatever they called their dollar surrogates. The highest denomination ever issued anywhere, though I hear they are shooting for the record in Zimbabwe. I think they'll implode before they even come close.

Do you think there were any McDonalds there at the time? Can you imagine the menu? Big Mac and fries, that'll be 3 times 10^9th Dinars. Here ya go, keep the change! hahahahahahaha

Somebody should make the "inflation" set with the Yugoslav bill, a Turkish one, and a Zimbabwean bill.

You could include an old US silver dollar and a silver dime (now worth over $1) to show the effect in our country.
